Membership

You may apply for the membership in the Translator's Guild by regular mail or eMail (the contact data can be found here). However, we strongly recommend that you first download the Application Form, the Guild's Bylaws as well as the document which you are just reading from our files area.

Please note that you have to be a full member in good standing of the O.T.O. holding at least the First Degree in order to apply for membership.

The Guild is a not-for-profit corporation, and the membership is free of charge. However, depending on the amount of material sent out by mail - such as disks or CD's/DVD's - we may have to ask for a reimbursement of expenses. Alternatively, you may also send in blank CD's or DVD's. The Guild is equipped to read and write media in Windows or Mac format.

Qualifications of membership are College education (or equivalent) and demonstrable fluency of language. A “Board of Review” of the Translator's Guild will provide quality control and issues a “Seal of Approval.”

If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to get in touch with the Guild. We also encourage you to share your own ideas and experiences to enable us to build up the Guild in the spirit of a truly fraternal cooperation.
